Deafblind Scotland Connect 2 Support Initiative
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Deafblind Scotland, based in Kirkintilloch, on receiving £20,000 from the People’s Postcode Lottery; understands that the funds will be used to support its Connect 2 Support initiative, which provides free advice on benefits for people with sensory impairments through a home visit service; notes that Deafblind Scotland champions the rights of deafblind people while offering a wide range of advice and support services, such as assistive technology training, an information service to provide news features and events in accessible formats and health and fitness activities, and extends its support to, and gratitude for, the work that Deafblind Scotland does to support deafblind people across Scotland.
