The motion
That the Parliament commends the efforts of Ballater Highland Games and Ballater District Pipe Band for raising £816 for the local charity, the Buttony Bear project; acknowledges that this donation funded 26 stoma bears, which were given to the Royal Aberdeenshire Children’s Hospital; notes that these bears have buttons stitched to their bellies to mimic the small insert for stoma bags on the children who they provide comfort to; recognises the efforts of Ballater Highland Games and Ballater District Pipe Band to ensure that the funds raised were used locally and benefited children from the north east, and thanks the Buttony Bear project, which is also based in Ballater, for the thousands of bears that it makes for children in the UK with bowel conditions.
