The Tayberry Restaurant, Broughty Ferry, Reducing Food Waste
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Adam Newth and his staff at the Tayberry Restaurant in Broughty Ferry on backing a two-year pilot project that aims to reduce the amount of food waste thrown away; understands that the project, which was launched in conjunction with Zero Waste Scotland, hopes to reduce such waste by 33% by 2025; notes that the initiative will see a food waste officer work with small and micro businesses, schools, colleges, universities and community groups across Dundee to help meet this target; hopes that the scheme is successful and produces positive results, and believes that it will help highlight the good work being done in Dundee and the wider Tayside area to reduce food waste.
