Dundee Studio Agency of None to Produce Dundee Design Festival
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the annual Dundee Design Festival, which, in 2019, will be produced by the Dundee-based design studio, Agency of None, and take place in the Keiller Centre; understands that Dundee has been a UNESCO city of design since 2014, and that the festival will incorporate the theme, Livable/Loveable Cities; acknowledges that the festival asks participants to explore the three key themes, redesigning and repurposing city centre spaces, empowering citizens and playing with the possibilities of change; understands that the festival uniquely generates revenue, not only through ticket sales but also by commissioning designers to create products on site, with the pieces going on sale at the festival and in other retail spaces around the city, and encourages as many people as possible to get involved.
