Scotland's Aintree Grand National Contenders
The motion
That the Parliament understands that three Scottish-trained horses are set to take part in the 2019 Grand National, One For Arthur, Lake View Lad and Captain Redbeard, which is the highest number in living memory to enter the world famous race; believes that, although Scotland accounts for just 3.7% of the total number of British horses in training, Scottish racing is producing horses of a standard that it is high enough to compete on an international platform, and wishes the three taking part good luck at Aintree.
