Macular Disease Awareness Event in Inverurie
The motion
That the Parliament commends the Macular Society on organising an event aimed at raising awareness of macular disease; understands that this condition is the biggest cause of slight loss in the UK, affecting nearly 1.5 million people, with more at risk; notes that the event will take place at the Hopeville Social Club in Inverurie on 18 April 2019; acknowledges the charity's work in highlighting the work of macular support groups, which help to increase the confidence and independence of people with the condition, and thanks the society and its groups on their continued efforts.
