Charity Event in Tullibody for Maggie's
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news of a successful charity fundraising event in Clackmannanshire for Maggie’s Forth Valley; understands that more than 50 people turned out at The Inn in Tullibody on 6 April 2019 to take part in a Memorial Pool Tournament; notes that the event was organised by the local butcher, Jim Hutchison, in memory of his uncle, Johnny Neil, who passed away in November 2018; acknowledges that the event raised £825 for Maggie’s Forth Valley, which provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer, as well as their family and friends; understands that, as it was so successful, it is set to become an annual event, and commends The Inn at Tullibody for its generosity, Jim Hutchison for organising the event and all who attended and donated on the day for all their highly magnanimous work.
