Congratulating Stromness Drama Club
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Stromness Drama Club on its success in the Scottish Community Drama Association’s (SCDA) 2019 local and regional finals; understands that the club’s youth team won the SCDA Northern Divisional Youth Final, while Shakers by John Godber and Jane Thornton came second in the SCDA Northern Divisional Final in Brechin; acknowledges the importance of local community theatre and music to the cultural life of Orkney, with clubs from across the islands performing and competing, and wishes Stromness Drama Club all the best as it competes in the SCDA’s National Finals in Kirkcaldy from 25 to 27 April.
