Macmillan Cancer Support’s Taking the Big Leap in Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that the Scottish entrepreneur, Robert Kilgour, who was appointed recently as Macmillan Cancer Support’s first ambassador, has launched "Taking the Big Leap in Scotland”; notes that this is a £2 million fundraising appeal to Scottish businesses, charitable trusts and individuals to raise funds to enable Macmillan to help improve cancer journeys in Scotland and that Robert has generously committed to matching the first £100,000 of donations received; commends the campaign’s aim to help fund transformational change across Scotland so that everyone living with cancer is able to access the physical, financial and emotional support that they need, and wishes the campaign every success in hitting its target so that Macmillan Cancer Support can help even more people in Scotland living with cancer.
