Volunteers Recognised at Fife Day Care
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Fife Day Care (FDC) on its work; notes that, since moving to its new premises in Lumphinnans in 2018, it has been extremely busy and has not had a chance to formally thank the members of its volunteer team for the invaluable contribution that they make; understands that it will now do so on 5 June 2019, which is during Volunteers Week, when they will be recognised for their hard work and dedication; believes there will be tea and cakes and that thank-you certificates will be distributed; acknowledges that there are 12 volunteers, and that their work includes some helping out each day at its active ageing day support groups for older people, which take place from Monday to Friday; notes that its oldest volunteer, who is 86, has been with the organisation for 28 years, and that the youngest volunteer is 23, and commends everyone at FDC on providing sterling work and showing tireless commitment to the people of Lumphinnans and across Fife.
