D-Day Veteran, Charles Horne
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates veteran Charles Horne, of Port Seton, on travelling to Bayeux for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings; acknowledges that organisations, such as Poppyscotland, are assisting by organising a ship to transport the veterans to the commemorations; understands that the anniversary will provide the veterans with the chance to revisit vivid memories from the landings, which were a pivotal moment in the Second World War; acknowledges that such stories from veterans serve as a reminder for the bravery along with sacrifice paid by the soldiers, and wishes the veterans all the best for their trip.
