J Mark Gibson OBE
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates J Mark Gibson on being appointed an OBE in The Queen’s Birthday Honours List for services to heritage; recognises that he was a founding trustee of Dumfries House and founder and trustee of the Scottish Dark Sky Observatory; applauds him for his contribution to preserving Ayrshire’s heritage and his continuing efforts to use heritage and the natural environment to encourage tourism and create employment opportunities in Dalmellington and the surrounding area; thanks him for his efforts, and wishes him continued success.
