Stronger Communities Glenburn Funding Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Paisley-based Stronger Communities Glenburn on being awarded £1,000 by the Asda Foundation; understands that Stronger Communities seeks to bring together local people to identify the best approaches to help children achieve their potential through initiatives such as toddler groups, indoor football and family cooking classes; further understands that the project also supports parents with mental health issues or those who are socially isolated; recognises that the project is run by volunteers and commends their efforts in supporting their community; welcomes that the funding award will be used to provide meals to local children during the summer and October holidays, and wishes Stronger Communities Glenburn well for the future.
