Helena Anderson-Wright BEM
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Helena Anderson-Wright, who is from Cults, on being awarded a BEM in The Queen’s Birthday Honours in recognition of her services to the arts in Aberdeenshire; acknowledges that Helena has spent more than 20 years encouraging youth participation in the north-east heat of the Robert Burns World Federation School Festival, having set the competition up following her move to Aberdeen; notes that, through her work, as well as her Burns Suppers, other events and projects, more than half a million pounds has been raised for numerous charities and good causes, and wishes Helena, and all involved with the school festival, all the best.
