Robert Bocking from Sauchie to Cycle for Five Charities
The motion
That the Parliament commends Robert Bocking, who is a retired soldier and firefighter from Sauchie, on his plan to take on a mammoth cycling challenge for charity; understands that Robert, who has been cycling long-distance routes since he retired, will set off on a solo 1,000-mile journey from Land's End to John o' Groats on 29 June 2019 to raise money for the Firefighter's Charity, Parkinson's UK, the Teenage Cancer Trust, SFRS Family Support Trust and Help For Heroes; notes that he previously completed a long-distance cycle in 2018 to support a former colleague who had been diagnosed with a brain tumour, and wishes Robert all the very best with this extremely magnanimous undertaking and his other endeavours.
