Green Flag Awards for Pittencrieff Park and Aberdour Silver Sands
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline and Silver Sands in Aberdour have been named among the best parks in Scotland, with both receiving Green Flag Awards for 2019; understands that Keep Scotland Beautiful highlighted the two locations as benchmarks for outdoor recreational spaces; notes that the award celebrates well-maintained green spaces and parks, as well as supporting the opportunities that these areas provide for the improvement of mental wellbeing and opportunities to exercise, in addition to being safe spaces to play, and congratulates everyone involved on their sterling work to achieve these awards.
