Defibrillator for Kincardine Thanks to Fundraiser
The motion
That the Parliament is enthused that a defibrillator is to be purchased for Kincardine as a result of a charity football match in the village; understands that the potentially life-saving equipment will be installed in the pavilion at Burnside Park; understands that the game, which was between fans of Rangers and Celtic, was not only to raise money for the defibrillator, but to fundraise and create awareness for the Chris Mitchell Foundation, which was set up by the family of the professional footballer who took his own life in May 2016; acknowledges that the match raised £4,000 for the Foundation in addition to the £1,000 necessary for the purchase of the defibrillator, and congratulates the organisers, the players and everyone who supported and donated.
