Raymond McQuarrie, Castle Douglas Fundraiser
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Raymond McQuarrie from Castle Douglas for his tireless charity work; notes that Raymond, who is known locally as "Rockin' Raymondo", performs as Elvis Presley to raise money across Dumfries and Galloway and beyond; praises him for, over the last two decades, holding Elvis nights and other fundraising activities that have raised more than £150,000 for various charities and good causes, including the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow; notes that, as a serving police officer, Raymond has also received a Borough Commander’s Commendation; wishes him all the best in his continued fundraising efforts, and praises Raymond for bringing joy to so many with his Elvis performances.
