The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dawn Gibson from Menstrie on her completion of her all-day Dumyat challenge for charity; understands that Dawn conquered the Clacks hill on a continuous loop for around 16 hours, repeating the three-mile route up and down from first light until dark; notes that the former British Army sergeant, who served as a tank mechanic in the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers for 12 years and now runs her own “GI.Fit” personal training service at Alloa Trade Centre, raised money for the charity, Rock2Recovery, which seeks out and helps distressed service people and veterans; acknowledges that Dawn ascended and descended Dumyat an astonishing 13 times and covered 40 miles non-stop to raise the £1,300, and commends her on her tireless work for forces’ charities, including a 24-hour running challenge for the Scotty's Little Soldiers charity in 2018.
