Wallace High Pupil Scoops Young Entrepreneur Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Carla Gee of Wallace High School in Stirling on winning the school’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award; understands that the award was given as a result of her leadership skills and characteristics, which were demonstrated across a range of activities; notes that Carla was involved in a young enterprise team, which set up a successful business, recycling old candles and jars into gifts to be sold at Christmas events, as well as passing the Young Enterprise Scotland exam with merit; recognises the value of these initiatives both inside and outside of Scotland’s schools in encouraging entrepreneurial spirit, which it considers is vital for the future of Scotland’s economy, and wishes Cara, and all the other entrepreneurs of the future, the best of luck in their future studies.
