Motion · S5M-19635 · 29 Oct 2019
Baptist Union and Believers' Baptism
The motion
That the Parliament notes that 2019 is the 150th anniversary of the Baptist Union of Scotland, which links together most of the country's Baptist churches; understands that Baptists believe that each person should make their own decision about what path of faith to follow and that, only after making a decision to follow Jesus Christ, should they be baptised; acknowledges that the Assembly of the Baptist Union is meeting in Motherwell on 1-2 November, and wishes the Baptist churches in Scotland an excellent Assembly and many more years of service in their communities and to the country.
