Multiple Awards for Alloa RAF Air Cadets

The motion

That the Parliament Commends the efforts of Alloa Air Cadets, which were recognised during their annual Squadron Dining-in and Awards night; understands that members of the 383 (Alloa) Squadron gathered at Coopers Restaurant in Alloa for the event on 26 October 2019; notes that their high-profile guest speakers included Group Captain Jim Leggat, Regional Commandant for the Air Training Corps Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as former RAF Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Hillier; congratulates Cadet Josh Syme, who was awarded Best Male in Sport, Corporal Arden Bruce, Best Female in Sport along with the accolade for best Junior NCO and Sergeant Lewis Kinney for Best Drill Cadet along with the award for Best Senior NCO; further congratulates Best Probationer, Cadet Kaya Buchan, Best Cadet, Corporal Kyle Buchan, Cadet Jackub Koniuszy on receiving the Endeavour Award and Sergeant Catherine Park on receiving the Officers’ Commanding Commendation; acknowledges that promotions were also presented by Sir Stephen to Sergeant Lewis Kinney, who becomes a Flight Sergeant, Corporal Arden Bruce who becomes a Sergeant and Cadets Jack Crossan and Josh Syme who become Corporals, and further acknowledges that the flower arrangement from the top table was later laid at the South African war memorial in the town, as is customary during this event.
