Alloa Shortlisted in the 2019 FutureTown Design Competition

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Alloa has been shortlisted in the FutureTown Design Competition (FTDC); understands that, now in its fifth year, the competition is aimed at stimulating conversations, provoking ideas and encouraging new approaches to highlight what towns could look like in the future; notes that FTDC 2019 was launched on 19 June 2019 and is organised by the national towns agency, Scotland’s Towns Partnership, and Threesixty Architecture, which are competition partners for 2019; acknowledges that entries have been shortlisted by an expert panel from both bodies and voting will run through Scotland's Towns Week, which closes at 9am on 25 November; understands that the winning entry, decided by the public vote, is showcased at the annual Towns Tea Party event, with the entrant invited to present their idea to an audience of policy-makers and those from across sectors involved in supporting towns, and wishes Alloa and everyone involved all the very best in the competition.
