Closure of Dollar Golf Club
The motion
That the Parliament is saddened at the imminent closure of Dollar Golf Club on 31 December 2019 after 129 years; understands that, as a result of dwindling membership numbers and rising maintenance costs, and following discussions with club's council, it was decided at the November AGM that there was no alternative but for the historic club to cease operations; is saddened at the resulting redundancy of its two full-time ground staff, and sends its very best wishes to everyone involved with the club.
