Sarah Robertson, Fundraising for MND Scotland

The motion

That the Parliament commends Sarah Robertson, who is retired and from Alva, on raising over £3,000 for MND Scotland in the last year in memory of her close friend, Anne Shearer; notes that Sarah scaled the Nebit hill in Alva 100 times, which is equivalent to climbing the height of Mount Everest more than four times, and that, along with her husband, David, she completed the 214-mile Southern Upland Way in just over 17 days, hiking and camping in the wild; appreciates that, in taking up these challenges to test her health and fitness, Sarah set a fundraising target of £1,000; congratulates her on exceeding this by over £2,000; acknowledges that she has thanked the people of Alva, the RSVP walking group, which she is a member of, and her friends and family who have provided much encouragement and made donations, and congratulates Sarah, and David, on their stalwart efforts and tireless resolve.
