Bargains and Bites, Clackmannan

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates a Clackmannan community initiative on another successful year in 2019, which saw a generous donation to a Clackmannanshire school and a number of other local beneficiaries; understands that Jim Millar of Bargains and Bites presented a £500 cheque to Clackmannan Primary School Parent Council, which will go towards an ambitious project to provide planters, plants, outside games and garden equipment to create an outside learning classroom for pupils to enjoy; acknowledges that further beneficiaries of Bargains and Bites are the Clackmannan Boys' Brigade, which also received £500 towards various activities to be enjoyed by both the junior and company sections, as well as Clackmannan Community Council senior citizens' Christmas lunch, Puddleducks Toddler Group and the Stirling Community Interfaith Justice Group, which all shared more than £500; notes that Bargains and Bites is a community initiative staffed by local volunteers, which provides residents of Clackmannanshire with the opportunity to meet and enjoy food and drink; notes that it also sells quality second-hand clothing and other items; wishes Jim, everyone involved and the beneficiaries all the very best with their endeavours, and commends Bargains and Bites for its highly magnanimous work for the benefit of the community.
