Dunbar RNLI Volunteers, 20 Years of Service
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates the Dunbar RNLI volunteers, Kevin Keillor and David Koch, on celebrating 20 years of service; understands that both men have served on all-weather and inshore lifeboats during their time in the RNLI; notes that Kevin first began volunteering at the age of 17 and received a medal certificate in 2009 for his work in rescuing a couple from a yacht stranded 37 miles out to sea, and that, not long after, he first started volunteering, while David attended a Tornado jet that had crashed into the sea near Torness Power Station; acknowledges that Kevin and David both received badges to commemorate their long service, and commends them both for their hard work and dedication to the RNLI.
