The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that the residents of and visitors to Bridge of Allan will be able to access an automatic external defibrillator (AED); understands that this has been installed on the side of the Friend of Mine restaurant in Henderson Street after a successful fundraising drive by John Cullen Butchers, also located in the same street, which helped raise the £1,700 purchase cost; notes that John Cullen butcher, James Fraser, had instigated the plan and had set up a tin for change in the shop, as well as a tombola, which raised around £1,000, while John Quinn, from Central FM, pledged the remaining £700 needed to make the purchase; thanks James and John, as well as Nicola Heron and the owners of the restaurant for allowing the AED to be fitted to their premises, and local electrician, Graham Robertson, for the installation, and congratulates everyone involved on their sterling efforts.
