Knockhill Exceeds its Scottish Charity Air Ambulance Fundraising Target
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Knockhill Racing Circuit has surpassed its own fundraising target for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA); notes that the race track has achieved this through an online point-of-sale optional donation scheme and is looking forward to another season of giving for the cause; understands that £5,500 has already been raised online and, with a season of motorcycle and motor sport events ahead, there is more support anticipated for SCAA; acknowledges that Knockhill has been supporting SCAA for several years through promotional material in its events programmes, stands and bucket collections at events and ticket and memorabilia donations for fundraising events; notes that, 18 months ago, the race track introduced optional giving at checkout on its website and set a £5,000 target; understands that Knockhill considers SCAA to be a vital lifesaving service, which has been called to aid motorcyclists and drivers on hundreds of occasions, and commends the directors and staff at Knockhill for their highly magnanimous work.
