Dunblane Cricket Club's Pitch in for a Pitch Crowdfunding Success
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Dunblane Cricket Club on raising of £5,475 through its Pitch in for a Pitch crowdfunding initiative; understands that, as a result, Scotland’s youngest cricket club can now look at setting up firm foundations and installing an artificial pitch in the not too distant future; considers that this success will hopefully encourage the area’s grassroots cricketers to get back into the nets in the coming days, having missed such a large amount of the summer due to the lockdown, and commends Dunblane Cricket Club for its aims to give playing opportunities to boys and girls of all abilities who are under 17 and to foster the growth and development of the sport in the town, while providing an opportunity for all players to reach their potential.
