The motion
That the Parliament acknowledges the efforts of the Aberdeenshire Rapid Relief Team (RRT), which mobilised within three hours to attend the site of the recent train crash in support of the emergency services and accident investigation teams; understands that a field base was established and 220 meals were provided in the first eight hours, with a further 600 hot meals with drinks being provided since then to provide sustenance and uplift the spirits of those dealing with the traumatic scenes; commends the efforts that the RRT has made in adapting to COVID-19; congratulates the team in continuing to be active in communities, and recognises that, during these last three months, RRT UK has provided over 60,000 meals to some of the UK’s most vulnerable families.
