Dollar Academy Online Learning Platform Free of Charge for Pupils Across Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the news that Dollar Academy has launched an online learning platform, Dollar Discovers, which provides courses for pupils across Scotland at no charge; understands that the platform, which provides free SQA courses and shorter discovery courses, offers a wide choice of subjects, including some that may not be available in other schools; believes that the discovery courses are designed to allow students to develop their curiosity and critical thinking; concurs with the school's collective belief in the transformative power of education and its responsibility to support as many young people as possible in their development; acknowledges that the topics covered in the platform have been framed around the UN's sustainable development goals, and congratulates Dollar Academy on this ground-breaking initiative.
