Molly Hughes, President of Scouts Scotland
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Molly Hughes on being announced on 1 December 2020 as the new President of Scouts Scotland, succeeding Chris Tiso in the honorary position; further congratulates her on being the youngest person to hold that office and the first woman to do so; notes that Molly holds the world record for becoming the youngest woman to ski solo from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole in January 2020, and that in May 2017 she became the youngest woman to summit from both the south and north sides of Mount Everest, and wishes her every success in her new role with Scouts Scotland.
