One Parent Families, Falkirk
The motion
That the Parliament commends One Parent Families Falkirk for its work promoting successful parent/child relationships; recognises that a positive experience during a child’s early years can set them up for life; believes that a significant factor to enabling a prosperous Scotland is ensuring healthy, resilient, functional family interactions for all our young people; notes that a large number of third sector organisations around the country rely on council grants to deliver their services, and calls for longer funding periods for third sector organisations so that they can focus on delivering their essential services, rather than continuously worry about funding applications.
