Scottish Olympic Success

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the contribution of Scottish sportsmen and women to Team GB's medal tally at the Olympics in Tokyo, where, from an overall total of 65 medals for Team GB, 16 were won by the Scottish athletes, Duncan Scott, Katie Archibald, Kathleen Dawson, Jack Carlin, Angus Groom, Harry Leask, Neah Evans, Laura Muir, Anna Burnet, Sarah Robertson and Josh Kerr; further recognises the contribution to these amazing achievements of their coaches, support staff, local clubs and family, as well as of the support from the National Lottery, UK Sport and sportscotland, and encourages the Scottish Government to make sport more accessible for all irrespective of background or personal circumstances.
