University of St Andrews Highest-ranked in UK

The motion

That the Parliament offers its warmest congratulations to Vice Chancellor, Professor Sally Mapstone, and all the staff and students of the University of St Andrews, following the University's placing as the highest-ranked university in the UK in the Times and Sunday Times University Guide; understands that this is the first occasion on which a UK university other than Oxford or Cambridge has won such an accolade, and recognises the strength of support for the University across all communities in Fife.
