The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that new housing at Primrose Street, Alloa, has been shortlisted in the Town Centre Living Award category at the Scotland Loves Local Awards 2022; believes that this project by Clackmannanshire Council has transformed a derelict town centre area into an up-to-the-minute development of 60 dementia-friendly flats, which is planned to be available early in 2023; acknowledges that the awards highlight individuals, businesses and community organisations from across the country after being nominated by people who have seen and felt the positive impact of their work; notes that the awards are organised by Scotland’s Towns Partnership (STP) as part of the Scotland Loves Local campaign, which encourages everyone to choose local and support businesses in their communities to build a better, stronger future; believes that the winners will be announced as part of the Scotland’s Towns Conference at CentreStage in Kilmarnock on 16 November 2022, to which the nominees have all been invited, and wishes everyone involved the very best of luck with their nominations.
