Sam Miller Saints in the Community Fundraising Efforts

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Sam Miller, of Auchterarder, for raising £6,800 for Saints in the Community by completing a 24-hour, 300-mile bike ride from Warrington to Perth in memory of his brother, who died in 2022 and who lived in Warrington; notes that Sam Miller is an avid St Johnstone FC fan; understands that this is why he raised funds for this organisation, which is involved in providing what it sees as positive life-enhancing experiences using sport in the community; reflects upon Sam Miller’s reported words, “As I pedalled through the miles, I was motivated by the knowledge that your donations would make a real difference to the lives of those in need[...]it is heartening to see so many individuals come together to support a common cause and make a positive impact in the world”, and thanks him for his significant effort.
