Central Fife Butchers, Hugh Black and Sons, Win Two Gold Awards at the Smithfield Awards

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates butcher, Hugh Black and Sons, on winning two Gold awards at the Smithfield Awards for its ribeye steaks and steak pies; understands that the Smithfield Awards, which is organised by the Q Guild of Butchers, evaluate the meat products of butchers across the UK and awards those who demonstrate the best craftsmanship, innovation and skill; notes that the Central Fife butcher, which has shops in Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly, was awarded Gold twice following an extensive judging session, headed by Keith Fisher CEO of the Institute of Meat, of over 200 products at the City of Glasgow College, and commends what it sees as this extraordinary achievement by a local Fife business to have its produce receive such a distinguished award.
