Peacocks in Pittencrieff Park Volunteer Awarded

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Carlyn Cane, one of the senior members of the aviary team, who has been named as volunteer of the year at the recent Fife Voluntary Action awards; understands that Carlyn, who is a student nurse, dedicates a huge portion of her time to the care of birds, and was crucial in nursing Louis, a seriously injured peacock, back to health; further understands that Carlyn also provides exceptional care to a young peacock named Charly, who was sadly born with a birth defect; recognises what it sees as the exceptional contribution made by Carlyn Cane and all the wonderful people who work with Pittencrieff Park's peafowl, and wishes them all the very best for the future.
