Abercairny Estates Wins Estates Challenges Competition

The motion

That the Parliament sends its congratulations to Abercairny Estates near Crieff on winning the Estates Challenges Competition held at the GWCT Scottish Game Fair 2023; notes that this is the first time that the popular event has taken place since 2019, following COVID-19 restrictions; understands that representatives from each competing estate were required to demonstrate their skills in various activities, including shooting, fishing and gun dog handling; recognises that the challenges take place to raise awareness of the hard work of ghillies and gamekeepers to preserve the Scottish countryside, and applauds Abercairny Estates for taking the trophy with a masterly score of 274 points.
