Charlie Aldridge, Under-23 Cross-country World Champion

The motion

That the Parliament sends its congratulations to Charlie Aldridge on winning the under-23 cross-country gold at the UCI Cycling World Championships; understands that the cyclist from Crieff, Perthshire, delivered a dominant performance, leading the front of the group for much of the race at Glentress; notes the outstanding achievement of Charlie to win the world title and the added delight that comes with attaining the gold in front of a home crowd; commends the young cyclist on adding to his previous junior world champion title, and wishes him the best of luck for future events.
