Sabhal Mòr Ostaig 50th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on reaching its 50th anniversary; notes that this is the only centre of higher and further education in the world that provides its learning programmes entirely through the medium of Gaelic; considers that Sabhal Mòr Ostaig promotes the revitalisation of the Gaelic language and culture through world-class education, research, training and economic opportunities; understands that, today, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is the biggest employer of Scottish Gaelic speakers in the world; further understands that, in line with this celebration, Sabhal Mòr Ostaig is launching its 2023-28 strategy, and wishes it all the best for the future.
