Awards for Alloa Rotary Club

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that Alloa Rotary Club has been recognised for its work with two District Awards presented at a recent Scotland North Rotary Gathering in Perth; understands that the club received accolades in the Best Public Image and Innovation in Recruitment categories for its work over the last year; acknowledges that the current president of the club, Lindsey Spowage, and incoming president elect, John Allan, were on hand to collect the awards; notes that Lindsey credited the past president, Alun Morgan, and the service teams that make the club work; understands that John was recognised for using his IT talents to great effect and, over the last few years, using new publicity banners and posters, alongside an increased use of online platforms and informative QR codes, to generate many new membership enquiries, and commends Lindsey, John, Alun and all at Alloa Rotary Club for what it sees as their sterling work in the community.
