The motion

That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the importance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which runs throughout October; understands that it is absolutely vital to increase awareness of the signs of breast cancer; notes that checking your breasts for any unusual changes can help discover breast cancer early, which in turn increases the likelihood of treatment being successful; acknowledges the importance of women attending their yearly mammogram and everyone regularly checking their breasts, and thanks the volunteers at charities such as Macmillan, Cancer Research UK and Breast Cancer Now for what it sees as all the vital work that they do in raising awareness of this issue and helping those currently diagnosed with breast cancer.
