Congratulating Robert MacIntyre and Team Europe on Winning the 2023 Ryder Cup

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Robert "Bob" MacIntyre on helping Team Europe lift the Ryder Cup 2023 in Rome; notes that Bob, who is originally from Oban, has so far achieved three professional tour wins, which, it understands, has led to him breaking into the world’s top 50 ranked golfers on two separate occasions; understands that Bob earned 2.5 points throughout the Ryder Cup, which helped Europe conclude a 16.5-11.5 victory over the United States; acknowledges that he beat US Open champion, Wyndham Clark, 2 and 1 on the Sunday of the tournament; believes that Bob is a credit to Scotland in representing his nation at the highest level of his sport, and that his journey so far will inspire other young golfers across Scotland to follow in his footsteps, and wishes Bob all the best of luck for future golf tournaments that he participates in around the world.
