The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Recycl8, a sustainable technology firm based in Aberdeenshire, on the success of the first industry pour of its low-carbon, sustainable R8 Mix; notes that, in partnership with Breedon Group, its mix was supplied to the civil engineering and construction firm, W M Donald, for installation on a housing foundation of Barratt and David Wilson Homes’ new Huntingtower development in Perth; acknowledges that this marks what it sees as a significant milestone in the journey of the Aberdeenshire-based firm towards offering eco-friendly construction solutions; commends Mark Gillespie, CEO of Recycl8, for his leadership in bringing this sustainable solution to the market, which aims to offer a significantly lower embodied carbon than traditional mixes and to diminish the reliance on virgin quarried resources, and wishes Recycl8 all the best in its future projects.
