Dollar Academy Wins Scottish Independent School of the Year 2024

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dollar Academy on being awarded Scottish Independent School of the Year in The Times Annual Parent Power Survey; understands that this is in recognition of its consistently high attainment and its commitment to pupils’ personal development and wellbeing; notes that the school was also commended for its innovative approaches to supporting pupils' wellbeing by bringing in a herd of alpacas to help reduce exam stress; further notes that it was also recognised for initiatives such as a pedal-powered smoothie maker to give students food for thought in the dining room; commends Rector Ian Munro, and wishes all at the school best wishes for the future.
