The motion

That the Parliament sends its congratulations to Henry Cheape after completing what it understands is the world’s hardest row, across the Atlantic; understands that the business owner, who owns the Balgove Larder in St Andrews, rowed 3,000 miles from the Canary Islands to Antigua over 49 days, 12 hours and 11 minutes; commends Henry for raising, it understands, over £100,000 for charity to date, and for reportedly becoming the fastest Scottish solo rower ever; acknowledges the extreme physical and mental challenge that he undertook in aid of promoting sustainability, and believes that, in this spirit, he was only consuming food sourced locally in Scotland throughout the challenge.
