The motion

That the Parliament recognises that Busby Primary in Eastwood will reach its 150th anniversary at the end of January, with the school first opening on 29 January 1876; understands that the school has been a key pillar of the local community for generations of residents; further understands that, although the building is 150 years old, Busby Primary still retains many of its original features, including the headteacher's desk; acknowledges that a special day of celebration to mark the 150th anniversary is to take place with every classroom at the school designed to represent a different decade in the history of Busby Primary; considers that the 150th anniversary is a truly special occasion, and wishes pupils, teachers, parents, and members of the local community every success with their efforts to ensure that this milestone occasion is celebrated.
